Welcome

Welcome to the new website of the Deanship of Library Affairs (DLA), which was designed with the objective to highlight our growing electronic resources and services, provide assistance to users through self help guides and FAQs, and inform them of the newly acquired titles, library policies, and other valuable information about the library resources and services so that they can use them from anywhere and at anytime without the intervention of the library staff.
DLA administers the KFUPM main library and the satellite libraries. It supports academic and research programs of the University and provides materials and services, both in print and electronic formats, in all subject areas, particularly in science and engineering to faculty, researchers, and students.
The digital collection in the main library, which includes electronic databases , electronic journals, electronic books, multimedia, and web resources, is increasing day by day. Horizon Information Portal (HIP) is being further developed to provide a single-point access to all these resources.
DLA is located in building 8, which is in the middle of the academic, research, and administrative setting and is closer to the classrooms and student labs. The five-story building provides room for 300 seats for general reading and 148 study carrels. Two Internet labs for students and faculty with 40 workstations are available for using the Intranet and Internet resources. The entire library collection is being reorganized to provide easier access to the desired materials.
We welcome suggestions and feedback from our valued patrons for improving the library website as well as our library resources and services.
